The goal of this Project was to reduce common kitchenware to its simplest forms. Working from photos of kitchenware to sketching them and finally constructing the kitchenware using only 4 shapes within illustrator. A spoon, knife, and Spatula were reduced from photographs to simple forms that will be visible even when scaled up or down. The colors used are muted and washed out, but they are all derived from the three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. The colors complement each other, Pantone 486 U, Pantone 143 U, Pantone 7473 U. The font used needed to be an inviting and legible sans serif typeface, which ended up being Proxima Nova. The final layouts are pastel signage for Cutlery, Cooking Utensils, and Flatware. Even without detail these simplified forms of kitchenware are instantly recognizable.
